Another UFO completed

I finished stitching down the binding last night on my Arizona peppers quilt.  This top was completed last year and I finished it a year later.  Much better to be all done than sitting on a hanger in the closet.

Today was busy... very busy.  I was one of the coordinators for the quilt show here at Sunland East and was in charge of setting up and getting everything organized.  This was the view as you walked in the door.

I had some quiet time in the middle of the quilt show so came home and finished up this apron for my granddaughter.  This was a panel that I cut out and started making when my niece was a child.  She is now 20 years old so this is a very old UFO.  My granddaughter is the perfect age for an activity apron so this is going to be for her for Easter.

  1. Amazing how a project undone can be left for so long it goes to the next generation! the Arizona Peppers is a great looking quilt, I hope you bring it 'home" to show us, at guild!

  2. Nope, my AZ peppers gets to stay here. Since we fly back and forth, only flimsies get to go home and be quilted there... if I quilt them here, they stay here.
I do have quite a few tops that are coming home with me and you will get to see them at show and tell, eventually!
I am so happy to get that easy apron finished. I guess I never finished it because I didn't have a recipient for it - now I do. Although an apron means that Grandma will have to get some finger paints and paper, crayons etc for my budding small artist.
