What a GRRRR! I ran out of black fabric while making my wonky flying geese for my Urban Village quilt.
So, I wait for Joann's to deliver my package!
So close to having the top completed but will work on other projects for a day or two and maybe even give my machine some TLC and wind a bunch of bobbins.

Working on a variety of projects
Nothing is near to being finished. It is not like me to be working on so many projects at once but am determined to keep stitching along until I finally get something I call a 'finish'.
My current project - urban village house blocks and my Dec and Jan "Count on It" blocks.

Not about quilting
Life cannot always be about quilting... would be nice if it was but reality sometimes steps in and we have to do something else. In our case, this was our 'something else' for the last few weeks.
The first two pictures were taken when we were looking at this house, deciding whether to purchase it or not. We did buy it but the dark kitchen cabinets were really worn and 'old' looking.
Amazing what a lot of cleaning, sanding and painting can do to change the look of the kitchen. The job is done other than a few touch ups and I still have the interior of some cupboards to reline and wash but otherwise, much brighter and cleaner.
Thus.... no sewing has been done!!

Three Finishes
Three finishes. All projects that were started in December, now finished and ready for Christmas 2012.
December wall hanging from the book "Count on It"
Pointsettia fusible wall hanging
A very old paper pieced project that was a 'kit' from a store that was located in West Vancouver many years ago. I am guessing this is a 20 yr old UFO.
This is my 9 patch swap done through the Sunland Stitchers group that I belong to. My current project on my design wall and I need to get all the blocks joined so that I can free up wall space for what comes next!

Happy New Year
Here it is, January 10 and I have actually turned on my sewing machine tonight for the first time in ages. Working on projects that I began over a month ago. Either I am really late for Christmas or am 11 months early?
Hopefully, I will have a few finishes and pictures to post of what I have accomplished and my new projects that I can't wait to start.
We are painting our kitchen so that has slowed me down somewhat. But, the end is in sight! Yippee.
